The women's open qualifier at WST Lausanne Street 2023 has been postponed due to consistent bad weather on Wednesday 13 September.

The preliminary stage of the women's street skateboarding contest was due to begin at 09:00 CEST (UTC+2) on Wednesday morning, but after several attempts to push the start time back, the decision was made by World Skate to cancel the action for the day.

To make up for lost time, the women's open qualifier will now start at 10:50 on Thursday, following the final two sessions of pre-seeded skaters' practice. The men's quarter-final will then take place starting at 15:30 with the women's quarter-finals scheduled for 18:30.

This schedule will be weather permitting.

In addition to crowning a winner, the event in Lausanne is also doubling as a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The semi-finals and finals of the contest will be available to stream live on the Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app, from Friday 15 September.
