World Table Tennis Singapore Smash 2024: Preview, full schedule and how to watch live
The table tennis season's first Grand Smash takes place in Singapore from 10–17 March. Can Fan Zhendong and Sun Yingsha successfully defend their singles crowns? Can anyone stop another Chinese sweep of the titles? Discover what you need to know about the event and how to watch it live.
The dust from the recent World Team Table Tennis Championships has settled and now the world's best paddlers turn their attention back to the WTT circuit with the season's first Grand Smash upon us.
From 10–17 March, the Singapore Sports Hub will host the main draw of the third WTT Singapore Smash.
With a few exceptions due to injury, almost all of the world's top 50 men's and women's singles players will be in action in the Southeast Asian city-state. Additionally, for the first time, the event will feature a Para Showcase, involving 24 para table tennis players, alongside the main Singapore Smash from 12–14 March.
A WTT Youth Star Contender event will also be held on the same tables from 14–17 March, allowing the stars of the next generation to gain the same centre-stage experience in front of a large crowd as the senior players do.

WTT Singapore Smash 2024: Who will be title hopefuls?
Chinese paddlers are defending champions in all five categories: Fan Zhendong in the men's singles, Sun Yingsha in women's singles, Fan / Wang Chuqin in men's doubles, Wang Manyu / Sun in women's doubles, and Wang Chuqin / Sun in mixed doubles.
Given their dominance in the sport, it stands to reason that they will likely again dominate the draw in Singapore, given it is a top-level event on the WTT calendar.
However, the recent World Team Championships will provide their challengers with the hope of pulling off a few upsets. World number six Felix Lebrun, who nearly beat Fan in the men's final at the World Team Championships, enters as the most recent winner on the senior WTT circuit, having triumphed at the WTT Star Contender Goa.
Hayata Hina, the women's world number five, would appear to be the biggest threat to the Chinese paddlers in that event. She leads a strong lineup behind the top players hoping to take a first non-Chinese Singapore Smash title.
