World Games archery: Ellison and Tartler lead the way in recurve field

Four-time Olympic archer Brady Ellison of the United States and Germany's Elisa Tartler are the top seeds after the qualification rounds for the recurve field archer competition at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama.

Tartler hâd an impressive day, finishing top of the field in both the unmarked (186) and marked (180) events for a leading total of 366 points on the day.

The experienced Ellison, looking for his first gold medal at the World Games, finished the day on top with scores of 192 in the unmarked round and 196 on the marked course for a total of 388 points overall.

The semi-finals and finals of the competition are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 12 July starting at 13:00 local Birmingham, Alabama time. Fans can watch the action right here on Olympics.com.
