Who will feature on the 23-player USWNT roster for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup 2023?

American football players have one of their final chances to make their case to suit up for their World Cup defence title this July and August in Australia and New Zealand.

Their final two international friendlies ahead of Vlatko Andonovski's squad announcement are both against World Cup debutants Ireland - on 8 and 11 April - in the United States.

Veteran striker Alex Morgan is set to take to the pitch for the pair of games, joined by fellow stalwarts Becky Sauerbrunn, Kelley O’Hara, Crystal Dunn, Lindsey Horan and Julie Ertz. The full 26-player line-up can be found via U.S. Soccer here.

Forward Megan Rapinoe, who is on 199 international caps, was ruled out of the upcoming games as she recovers from a lower leg injury.

Meanwhile, Mallory Swanson is coming off a MVP performance for the U.S. during the SheBelieves Cup, when the USWNT captured the title with wins over Canada, Japan and Brazil.
