World Athletics Championships 2023: All women’s 100m world champions at a glance

There are 14 sprinters who have won the women’s 100m title, with the event contested in 19 editions of the World Athletics Championships.

Sha'Carri Richardson is the reigning champion having won the 2023 world title at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is the most decorated in the dash at the Worlds with five titles.

The Jamaican was 35 when she won her fifth 100m sprint gold at Oregon 2022 and is the first athlete to win the title after becoming a mother.

American sprinters have won the women’s 100m nine times followed by Jamaica with six titles.
