Lausanne 2020 is here and social media is a blizzard of winter sports and future Olympic heroes.

The sliders, shredders and skaters are taking over, so who should you follow on social media?

Read on...

Kelly Sildaru

Estonian sensation Kelly Sildaru is a freestyle ski halfpipe and slopestyle world-beater at just 17.

Tipped as a gold medal contender at PyeongChang 2018, Sildaru missed out through injury, but proved her class at the Worlds in February last year beating Olympic gold medallist Cassie Sharpe to become world halfpipe champion.

This multi X Games medallist's feed is a joy of big jumps, beautiful mountains and stunning snaps.

You Young

At 11 years of age You Young became the South Korean figure skating national champion.

Yes, eleven.

She was younger than even national icon Yuna Kim who took that title when she was just 12, and since then Young has proved her talent over and over again, winning the national title four times.

The 15-year-old jumps triple Axels, finished above PyeongChang silver medallist Evgenia Medvedeva at Skate Canada 2019 and is one of the strong favourites to win the Lausanne 2020 girls' singles gold medal.

Young's big following on social media is no surprise when you see her fairy-tale world of figure skating shots, fashion and podium snaps with some of the biggest stars on ice.

Definite follow.

Jack Coyne: Youtube star at 11

At 11 years of age half a million people already knew Jack Coyne's name thanks to this YouTube clip:

Now in 2020 a 17-year-old Coyne has gone from YouTube fame to the U.S. snowboard rookie team and will compete at WYOG - one of four snowboarders from the USA to qualify.

Coyne joins Jake Canter, Dusty Henricksen and Kolman LeCroy on a seriously stacked line-up.

Can he follow in USA snowboarder Jake Pates' steps from Lillehammer 2016 and win both the halfpipe and slopestyle?

Maybe, but following his journey will be fun no matter what happens.

Coyne the teen shred monster is an old hand at social media and while he's focused on his performance in dual disciplines, this artist/director/athlete's posts will be well worth keeping an eye on.

Kiernan Fagan

This ski star's got fire, and is a big part of the reason why the slopestyle and Big Air will be lit.

Fagan is bringing it to the best in the world at senior level, finishing in the top three several times on the 2018-19 World Cup circuit, and sparks fly every time he takes to the snow.

He's got game on social media too, get some of this:

Jennie-Lee Burmansson

Women's slopestyle and Big Air have their own mountain-shredding star in the making in 17-year-old Swedish skier Jennie-Lee Burmansson.

She has also taken in the view from Winter X Games podiums, and is keen to make up for lost time after injury kept her off the tour for an entire year after she tore her anterior cruciate ligament in competition in New Zealand in September 2018.

Check out the range of spectacular vids on Jennie's Insta - well done to the cameraman for keeping up in this clip!

Utana Yoshida and Shingo Nishiyama

This edgy ice dance pair are Japan National champions 2019 and look ready to achieve big things in the sport, starting at Lausanne 2020.

Shingo's Insta feed isn't full of just training shots or junior podiums, take pic this for example with the Prince of Ice himself - Yuzuru Hanyu (And Winnie the Pooh of course, we can't forget Winnie).

Utana is more active on Twitter, you get some superbly shot training vids and wonderful worlds of cute.

Keep tabs on this pair on the ice in Lausanne and follow all the fun.

Tessa Maud

U.S. snowboarder Tessa Maud is one to watch at WYOG and is vying for succession to Chloe Kim's Winter Youth Olympic champion throne.

If this recent clip on Tessa's Insta is anything to go by, then she's ready and raring to top that podium:

Mitsuki Ono

But Tessa Maud's claim to top spot has consistently been thwarted by reigning two-time halfpipe world junior champion Mitsuki Ono. On both of those victories, Maud had to settle for second.

The Japanese snowboard starlet treats her followers to clips of her owning the halfpipe and lots of fun photos.
