UEFA EURO 2024 came to a climactic conclusion with Spain beating England 2-1 in the final in Germany.

After an extensive qualification process, 24 of the best football teams in Europe came together across 10 host cities in a bid to be crowned champions in Berlin on 14 July.

Split into six groups of four, the top two in each plus the four best third-placed teams made it through to the round of 16. Those were then whittled down to eight teams in the quarter-finals with defending champions Italy going out to Switzerland. Spain knocked out hosts Germany 2-1 in the quarter-finals and France in the semis.

England swept past Switzerland and the Netherlands en route to the final where the Spanish came out on top.
