The UEFA Champions League resumes in the small hours of Wednesday in India with the first leg of the Round of 16 kicking-off with some high-profile clashes on the cards.
While Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will be looking to get even when they travel to Spain to take on FC Barcelona, reigning UCL champions Bayern Munich will be in Italy to face Lazio.
Last time PSG were in Barcelona, the Catalans overturned a 4-0 deficit to knock PSG out of the competition in the 2016-17 season.
While Neymar Jr. was the wrecker-in-chief that night, the Brazilian since has moved to PSG with Barcelona finding new heroes in Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé, apart from their ever-reliable Lionel Messi.
Neymar, however, will not play against Barcelona in the first leg owing to a groin injury with Kylian Mbappé, Mauro Icardi and Ángel Di María expected to step up for PSG. Meanwhile, all-conquering Bayern Munich will be eager to continue their tremendous run in that has seen them win six titles in the past year.
The defending champions will be up against Lazio, a team that’s had a mixed outing in the Serie A so far.
The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 will also see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Portugal to take on FC Porto with his Juventus side.
