Tate Carew - USA - qualified

BUDAPEST - Comments from the USA’s Tate Carew after scoring 92.65 to finish third in the OQS Budapest Skateboarding Men’s Park final on Sunday and qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Tate Carew - USA - qualified first (overall ranking position)

On sharing the podium with his teammate Tom Schaar and friend Keegan Palmer of Australia:

“It’s so awesome. Keegan (Palmer) and I got to share the podium in Shanghai, and then here in Budapest Tom got in there too. It’s been a long time waiting for Tom to get another big podium at a World Skate contest, and I’m just glad to be up there with him.”

On his performance:

“I’m really excited. I just wanted to get on the podium, that was my main goal. I’m skating really well. I landed all of my runs, and that’s never happened for me before, now that I think about it. I’m very happy with the way I skated.”

On what to expect at Paris 2024:

“I have no idea what to expect for Paris, but I think it’s going to be the best contest, park-wise, that we’ve seen in a long time. I’m very excited.”
