The second ISU Grand Prix event of the 2023-24 figure skating was held in Vancouver at Skate Canada International (27 & 28 October).
Japan's Sakamoto Kaori, the two-time and reigning world champion, captured the women's title for her fourth career Grand Prix gold medal, while Canadian ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier won their fourth consecutive SCI in front of a home crowd.
Another Candian duo, pairs team Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps, claimed victory, too, while Japan's Yamamoto Sota maintained his short program lead to win a first GP gold in his sixth year on the senior circuit.
Skaters are looking to earn points for December's Grand Prix Final in Beijing.
