Live streaming, Saudi Pro League 2023-24 football: Where to watch in India

Following an influx of top European league football stars, the Saudi Pro League 2023-24 will be a highly-anticipated season. Live streaming of the Saudi Pro League will be available in India. It will also be broadcast on the Sony Sports Network.

The 48th edition of the Saudi Pro League features 8 teams playing 34 matches each from August 11, 2023, to May 27, 2024.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr, made his debut in the league last season. This time, the Portuguese striker is joined by Senegalese forward Sadio Mane in the team. Al-Nassr finished runners-up last season.

Ronaldo and Mane will be up against Neymar, who left French club Paris St. Germain (PSG) to join Al-Nassr’s rivals Al Hilal SFC.

In recent years, Al-Hilal have dominated Saudi Arabian football, winning four league titles between 2016 and 2022. Domestically, Al-Hilal have only been rivalled by Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad. In the last decade, Al-Hilal and Al Nassr have shared eight titles between themselves.

Defending champions Al-Ittihad, meanwhile, have signed two Frenchmen – striker Karim Benzema, the current Ballon d’Or holder, from Real Madrid and defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante from Chelsea.

Other notable names who have joined the Saudi Arabian football league this season are Jordan Henderson (Al-Ettifaq), Roberto Firmino (Al Ahli) and Riyad Mahrez (Al Ahli). Al Ahli, however, have been relegated to the First Division League.

At the end of each season, the three lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the second tier, and the best three teams from that division move up to the Saudi Pro League.
