Premier Badminton League 2022 to start on December 17

Bengaluru Raptors won the last edition held in February 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced a halt. The latest edition will be the sixth season of the tournament.

The Premier Badminton League 2022 season will start on December 17 and will run till January 14, marking a return of the tournament after a break of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bengaluru Raptors, comprising Tai Tzu-Ying and B. Sai Praneeth, won the last edition in February 2020 against the Northeastern Warriors. Seven teams competed in the last season of PBL. PV Sindhu played for Hyderabad Hunters, which finished sixth in the tournament.

The latest edition of the Premier Badminton League will be the sixth season of the franchise-based tournament.

World-class shuttlers such as Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth, Carolina Marin, Viktor Axelsen and Lee Chong Wei have been part of the PBL.
