New heavyweight boxing world champion Oleksandr Usyk has said his win over Anthony Joshua doesn't compare with claiming Olympic gold.
Usyk won a unanimous points decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (25 September) to take the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts from fellow London 2012 gold medallist Joshua.
It was just the Ukraine star's third professional heavyweight bout after stepping up from cruiserweight, where he had dominated the division.
"London is a really lucky city for me," Usyk said following the bout, according to Reuters.
"...but not a single professional victory can be above an Olympic gold."
Joshua confirmed in his post-fight press conference that a rematch would follow, saying, "we'll be doing it all again soon."
