Oceania Swimming Championships 2024: Australian medal winners - full list

The Oceania Swimming Championships 2024 was held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in Queensland. The continental meet, held from April 21 to 24, saw 16 Australian swimmers vie for medals in different events.

Australian swimmers ended the meet with 48 medals – 33 gold, eight silver and seven bronze.

Jessica Cole found success at the Oceania Swimming Championships with six gold medals. The 17-year-old from New South Wales won the women’s 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly races and also won the gold medals with the freestyle relay teams in the women’s 4x200m, 4x100m and mixed 4x100m events.

Lillie McPherson won the gold medal in the women’s 100m and 200m freestyle races. The 15-year-old McPherson also won the silver medal in the 50m freestyle and bronze in the 100m butterfly. She had won four gold medals at the Australian Age Championships earlier this month.

Olympia Pope, who also excelled at the Australian Age Championships in the under-15 age bracket, topped the races in the women’s 50m and 100m breaststroke.

In the men’s swimming events, Jake Tysoe won the gold in the 200m butterfly while Grayson Doig was victorious in the 200m individual medley. Samuel Hicks topped the 100m backstroke.

Lucas Fackerell and Amelie Smith won the men’s and women’s 1500m races, respectively. Fackerell won a total of seven medals - six gold and one silver at the competition.
