After 11 weeks of regular season action, women’s NCAA collegiate gymnastics is finally at the business end of the season with conference titles up for grabs Saturday (23 March).

The top three teams, Oklahoma, California and Louisiana State, represent the top seeded squads in the Big 12, Pac-12 and Southeastern Conferences, while No. 9 Michigan State is highest ranked from the Big Ten.

Read on for a preview of the major conference championships, a complete schedule and how to watch all the action live.

NCAA women’s gymnastics conference championships – preview

The Oklahoma Sooners have once again dominated this season, posting a 198.775 in their final regular season competition and solidifying their status as favourites not only to win the Big 12 title but also their third-straight NCAA championship next month.

OU will face off with Denver, BYU, Iowa State and West Virginia for the title, as they host the Big 10 Championships for a final time before joining the SEC next season.

The SEC Championship will likely be a battle with four teams ranked inside the top 10 nationally: No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Florida, No. 6 Kentucky and No. 7 Alabama. Of those highly ranked squads, Kentucky is the only school to have never won an SEC gymnastics title.

California’s historic season has seen them already claim a first-ever regular season Pac-12 title. They’ll be dreaming of a first-ever conference championship Saturday in West Valley City, Utah, but they’ll have to get past reigning champs Utah (No. 5 nationally) and perennial powerhouse UCLA (No. 11).

It could also be a first championship for Michigan State University at the Big Tens, which they are set to host in East Lansing. Michigan, the 2021 NCAA winners, has had an up-and-down season in 2024 having lost stars to both injury and graduation. Meanwhile, Mike Rowe’s Spartans have soared to new heights and could make more history at home.
