Men’s NCAA Tournament Sweet 16: Which teams are through? Full schedule and how to watch March Madness basketball live

After a weekend of thrilling North American collegiate basketball action, the NCAA men's tournament 2024 field has been officially cut to 16.

There were dominant displays, namely from favoured heavyweights including No.1 seed Purdue, and there were upsets. No. 6 seed Clemson sent No. 3 seed Baylor packing while No. 1 seed Houston eked through with a big win in overtime over Texas A&M.

But while there has been some drama the status quo seems to be prevailing overall.

For the first time since 1979, all four No.1 seeds - North Carolina, University of Connecticut, Houston, and Purdue - and No.2 seeds remain in the fight. The lowest seed still competing is the No. 11 seed North Carolina State.

Sweet 16, the next phase of the NCAA’s illustrious college basketball tournament, will run from Thursday 28 March to Friday 29 March with a place in the Elite Eight taking place Saturday 30 March and Sunday 31 March the reward.

It promises a host of exciting match-ups including a much-anticipated battle between No. 4 Duke v Houston.
