The Malaysia Open 2023 badminton tournament is being held at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from January 10 to 15.

A total of 15 Indian badminton players, including PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, Saina Nehwal and Lakshya Sen are playing at the Malaysia Open 2023.

Men’s doubles: Chirag Shetty/Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Krishna Garaga/Vishnuvardhan Panjala

Women’s doubles: Ashwini Bhat/Shikha Gautam, Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand

There are no Indian players in the mixed doubles event.

Upgraded from BWF Super 750 to a BWF Super 1000 tournament this year, the Malaysia Open kickstarted the 2023 BWF World Tour, which will culminate with the World Tour Finals in December.

The first two days of the Malaysia Open, January 10 and 11, were reserved for the round of 32 matches of all five categories - men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. The Malaysia Open round of 16 matches were played on January 12 while the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played on January 13 and 14, respectively.
