Jamaican sprinter Oblique Seville has set his sights on joining the elite ranks of the five fastest 100m sprinters in history, according to the Jamaica Gleaner.

“I know I can be in the top five fastest in the world of all time,” Seville said.

The Paris Olympian says he sees room for improvement and is encouraged by the 9.81 second 100m time he achieved at the Games.

“Personally, I know I have a lot of improvements to make because I know I am lacking a lot of strength work compared to other athletes," explained Seville. "Running 9.81, knowing my body is not fully developed, shows I have a lot more to improve on, technically, strength-wise and the list goes on."

Seville, 23, is set to participate in the upcoming Grand Slam Track where he plans to expand his focus to include the 200m.
