ISSF World Cup Cairo, live streaming: Manu Bhaker to lead strong Indian shooting squad – full schedule

Olympians Manu Bhaker, Anjum Moudgil, Divyansh Singh Panwar and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar will be among India’s 34-member shooting contingent at the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Cairo from Sunday.

The Cairo meet is the second stage of the ISSF World Cup this year for rifle and pistol shooters. However, the Indian rifle and pistol shooters had given the first stage in Jakarta a miss and will be gunning for medals in their first shooting World Cup of the year.Events will be live streamed.

Manu Bhaker, a Youth Olympic Games champion, will be competing in her pet 10m and 25m pistol events. Anjum Moudgil will be in action in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions.

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Swapnil Kusale, who secured an Olympic quota for India at the ISSF World Championship 2022 at the same venue, will be in action in men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions. However, there are no Olympic quotas on offer at this ISSF World Cup.

India will also have high hopes in the men’s 10m air rifle with Olympian Divyansh Singh Panwar and Rudrankksh Patil listed to compete.

Rudrankksh Patil, 19, had won gold at the ISSF World Championships in October, securing a Paris 2024 Olympics quota place for India in the process. Patil’s gold medal was the first top podium finish for an Indian in the 10m air rifle event at the world championships since former Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra won it in 2006. 

As many as 340 shooters from 42 countries will be competing for a total of 30 medals in Cairo across individual and team events. The ISSF World Cup Cairo will conclude on February 23.

Where to watch ISSF World Cup 2023 Cairo live in India

Live streaming of the ISSF World Cup 2023 Cairo will be available on the ISSF’s YouTube channel. Only the finals of each event will be streamed live. There will be no live telecast of the event on any TV channel in India.
