The 2023 edition of the European Games begins on 21 June with 7,000 athletes from across the world competing for glory in 29 different sports.
In some, the stakes are even higher with tickets to the next Olympic Games on the line.
One sport where athletes can qualify directly for Paris 2024 is boxing, with the competition offering 44 Olympic quotas to the highest-performing athletes in their respective weight classes.
A total of 42 nations will be represented in the Paris 2024 qualifier, with the 325 participating boxers desperate to secure their chance to shine at next year’s Olympics in the capital of France.
Quotas will be available in most weight classes from the quarter-final stage (28 June) onwards, while the gold and silver medals will be decided in the women’s and men’s finals, which take place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July, respectively.
