The Olympic qualifier season is upon us and 2024 begins with a series of four hockey qualifiers that will see six men’s and six women’s teams qualify for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
So far, seven of the nations that will compete in Paris are already known, with hosts France being joined by continental champions Australia (men and women), Netherlands (men and women), India (men) and People's Republic of China (women) in the capital of France.
For the rest of the nations battling to compete at the next edition of the Games, the Olympic Qualification tournaments represent the final chance to secure direct qualification.

When and where do the Olympic Qualification tournaments for hockey take place?
There will be four Olympic Qualification tournaments taking place between 13-21 January 2024, including two for women and two for men.
Eight men’s teams will compete in Muscat, Oman (15-21 January) including Great Britain, Germany, New Zealand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Canada, Chile and People’s Republic of China.
A further eight men’s teams will compete in Valencia, Spain (13-21 January), including Belgium, Spain, Republic of Korea, Ireland, Japan, Austria, Egypt and Ukraine.
In the women’s competition, eight nations will compete in Ranchi, India (13-19 January) including Germany, India, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, United States, Italy and Czechia.
Finally, eight women’s teams will compete in Valencia, Spain (13-21 January) including Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, Korea, Ireland, Canada, Malaysia and Ukraine.
In each of the four tournaments, the top three nations will secure qualification for Paris 2024.
