Sydney 2000 Women's Beach Volleyball Final

Natalie Cook and Kerri Pottharst became one of the great stories of Sydney 2000 as they cemented the sport of beach volleyball in Olympic history.

In a match that gripped a nation and the 10,000 Aussies watching on Bondi Beach, Cook and Pottharst came up against the Brazilian duo Shelda Bede and Adriana Behar. Heading into the gold medal match, Australia were looking to turn their bronze from Atlanta 1996 into gold while Bede and Behar were looking to cement Brazil's dominance in the sport.
