India’s Rohan Bopanna and Croatian partner Franko Skugor are through to the men’s doubles quarter-finals at the French Open.

The 41-year-old Rohan Bopanna and Franko Skugor were given a walkover in their third round match against the Dutch-El Salvador pair of Matwe Middelkoop and Marcelo Alvaro on Sunday.

Bopanna-Skugor will now face the Spanish team of Pedro Martinez and Pablo Andujar in the last eight on Monday.

The Indo-Croatian team had earlier beaten Nikoloz Basilashvili and Andre Begemann in the first round before overcoming the pair of Nicholas Monroe-Frances Tiafoe in the second.

Rohan Bopanna is the only Indian in contention in this year’s Roland Garros.

Divij Sharan and Ankita Raina bowed out of the Grand Slam after their first-round losses in men’s and women’s doubles, respectively.

Men’s singles player Sumit Nagal, meanwhile, failed to get past the qualifiers.
