The 2023/24 Four Hills Tournament is right around the corner, and there are some thrilling ski jumping storylines in the making.
Norway’s reigning champion Halvor Egner Granerud has experienced a difficult start to the season and is yet to make a podium at the World Cup.
But Austrian veteran Stefan Kraft has stormed to five victories already, and goes into the Four Hills as arguably the form jumper.
Also keep an eye on the likes of Large Hill Olympic champion Marius Lindvik, who seems to have rediscovered some of his best form.
The Four Hills will, as ever, take place in Oberstdorf (Germany), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany), Innsbruck (Austria) and Bischofshofen (Austria).
Below, we take a look at the event schedule, stars to watch, top storylines, and more.
2023/24 Four Hills Tournament: Stars to watch
Austrian legend Stefan Kraft has set the snow alight this season in the World Cup, having won over half of the events thus far.
A Four Hills winner in 2015, the team Olympic gold medallist from Beijing 2022 knows what it takes to win this tournament.
Halvor Egner Granerud had a stunning 2022/23 season, during which he won the Four Hills and a second overall World Cup, but has struggled to repeat these feats so far this season. Perhaps the added motivation of defending his title will help the Norway star reach the top.
Beijing 2022 Olympic champion Marius Lindvik appears to be on the opposite trajectory to his compatriot, having won silver in Engelberg to hint that he is rediscovering his best form.
There will also be a two-way threat from Germany, with Karl Geiger handing Kraft a rare loss this season, while Andreas Wellinger is currently second in the overall standings.
