The fifth day of the multi-sport European Championships 2022 promises to deliver 14 continental titles, including the very first athletics gold medals.

Lonah Chemtai Salpeter of Israel - who claimed bronze in the marathon at the recent World champs in Oregon - will try to defend her title in the women's 10,000m, with Commonwealth Games champion Eilish McColgan of Britain tipped as her main rival in the event.

In sport climbing is the day of both men's and women's speed finals and all eyes will be on two-time world champion Aleksandra Miroslaw of Poland: who will be the fastest to climb the 15-metre wall?

Finally at the Rudi-Sedlmayer arena the first table tennis medals will be assigned in the mixed doubles and the local hopes are carried by defending champions Nina Mittelham and Dang Qiu.
