Former European champions Italy and Spain will face off in the first Euro 2020 semi-final at the Wembley Stadium in London. The Italy vs Spain match can be seen live in India from 12:30 AM on July 7 (Wednesday).
The second Euro 2020 semi-final will feature England vs Denmark. It can be seen live in India from 12:30 AM on July 8 (Thursday).
Italy, billed as one of the favourites for the title, have lived up to the tag so far, recording five victories and conceding just two goals.
Italy came up with arguably their most complete performance in a 2-1 win over Belgium in the quarter-finals. Goals from Lorenzo Insigne and Nicolo Barella sealed the win for Roberto Mancini’s men.
However, the Azzurri will miss full-back Leonardo Spinazzola in the semi-final after he ruptured his achilles tendon during the match against Belgium.
Spain, meanwhile, faced a tough test against a resilient Switzerland side in the last eight.
After being held to a 1-1 scoreline by a 10-man Swiss team post extra time, goalkeeper Unai Simon emerged as Spain’s hero as he kept out three penalties in the shoot-out to carry them through to the semis.
Spain will look to Alvaro Morata for their attacking impetus while youngster Pedri, veteran Sergio Busquets and Koke have formed a formidable midfield so far in the tournament. Watch Italy vs Spain live on TV and on live streaming.
In the other semi-final, two in-form teams - England and Denmark - will go up against each other.
England have been one of the standout teams so far in Euro 2020, winning all five of their matches so far. The Three Lions are yet to concede a single goal and is the only team with a perfect defensive record in the tournament.
They come into the semis on the back of a 4-0 victory over Ukraine, inspired by captain Harry Kane’s brace. Raheem Sterling, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount will be the key players for England.
Euro 1992 champions Denmark, meanwhile, have come into their own after losing their first two games of Euro 2020. They beat Wales 4-0 in the Round of 16 and followed it up with a solid 2-1 victory against Czech Republic in the last eight.
Striker Kasper Dolberg, who has scored three goals in the last two games, full-back Joakim Maehle and midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have been key to Denmark’s success and will be looking to make their mark in the semis.
