2022 World 200m bronze medallist Erriyon Knighton of the United States stormed to a meeting record time, 19.95, Tuesday (6 June) at the Irena Szewinska Memorial in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
The young American, still just 19, held off Aleksander Ogando of the Dominican Republic, who ran a 20.18 for second, and Poland's Albert Komanski, 20.49.
Great Britain's Daryll Neita was the women's 200m winner at 22.23, another meeting record. Two Americans, Anavia Battle and Cambrea Sturgis, rounded out the podium.
In the men's 110m hurdles, pre-event favourites Daniel Roberts and Jamal Britt both of Team USA did not disappoint, finishing just seven hundredths of a second apart from one another. Roberts was the victor after clocking a 13.24 to Britt's 13.31.
American Alaysha Johnson won the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 12.41 seconds, while compatriat Sturgis hit 11.24 for the 100m win.
Kenya's Edinah Jebitok won the women's mile at 4:22.85, a personal and meeting best.
Italian Pietro Arese captured the men's 1500m crown ahead of Ireland's Andrew Coscoran, the winner at the recent Continental Tour Gold meeting in Hengelo in the Netherlands. South Africa's Tshepo Tshite, dubbed one to watch ahead of the meeting, finished off the podium in fifth.
The women's 800m title went to Jamaica's Adelle Tracey with Ben Pattison of Team GB claiming the men's 800 at 1:45.80.
In the field, Ukraine's Andrii Protsenko was the men's high jump champ with a winning attempt at 2.21. Chris Nilsen of the United States won the men's pole vault at 5.92m, a season's best mark.
World leader Brooke Andersen of the U.S. took the women's hammer throw, recording a meeting record 78.79m to secure the win over Canadian Camryn Rogers.
