England have today (31 May) announced the 23-player squad that will compete at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The Lionesses, who are No.4 in FIFA's women's football world rankings, are the defending European champions and will travel to the World Cup as one of the favourites to win the entire tournament.

The full list of England's 2023 World Cup squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mary Earps, Hannah Hampton, Ellie Roebuck
Defenders: Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Jess Carter, Niamh Charles, Alex Greenwood, Esme Morgan, Lotte Wubben-Moy
Midfielders: Laura Coombes, Jordan Nobbs, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, Katie Zelem, Kiera Walsh
Strikers: Rachel Daly, Beth England, Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, Katie Robinson, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo

16 members of the 23-player squad were part of the England team which won Euro 2022, including Barcelona defender Lucy Bronze, Chelsea centre-back Mille Bright and Tottenham striker Beth England.
Niamh Charles, Laura Coombs, Lauren James, Esme Morgan, Katie Robinson and Katie Zelem will all be playing at their first major tournament.
Speaking at her squad announcement media conference, England manager Sarina Wiegman confirmed Mille Bright will captain the team in place of Leah Williamson, who will miss the World Cup with a knee injury.
When is the women's 2023 World Cup?
Held in the Oceanic regions of Australia and New Zealand, the competition will run from 20 July 2023 through to the final exactly a month later on 20 August 2023.
