Italy's Elisa Balsamo upsets Laura Kenny to score big win on Day 3 of Euro Track Cycling champs
Golds for Italy, Germany, Britain, and Russia on day three at the 2020 Track Cycling European Championships in Plovdiv

It was a techno-pumping head-spinning third day of action at the 2020 UEC Track European Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with five titles up for grabs.
Despite the lack of a crowd, the cyclists brought plenty of intensity and the tears flowed from Italy's Elisa Balsamo after she caused a major upset by defeating Great Britain's four-time Olympic track cycling gold medallist Laura Kenny in the women's omnium.
Balsamo, the 2016 junior world champ, was delighted after the race, taking victory with 135 points to Kenny's 126. Russia's Maria Novolodskaya claimed third on 114 points.
In the men's omnium, 22-year-old Great Britain rider Matthew Walls added another title to his elimination race crown from Day 1, with a commanding win on 128 points, 12 ahead of Belarus' Yauheni Karaliok who was second.
Portugal's Iuri Leitao continued his excellent Euros with another podium finish in third.
Euro Track 2020 Men's and women's sprint results
Germany sent just one cyclist to Plovdiv to take part in these European Championships due to precautions during the COVID pandemic, keirin and sprint specialist Maximilian Levy, and it proved a pretty good decision, Levy won the men's sprint.
Russian star Denis Dmitriev was second with Lithuania's Vasilijus Lendel third.
And Russia dominated the podium in the women's sprint, Rio 2016 team sprint silver medallist Anastasiia Voinova streaking to victory with teammate Daria Shmeleva taking second, they count 8 world championship gold medals between them.
Ukraine's Olena Starikova completed the podium.
Individual pursuit victory for Neah Evans
Great Britain's Neah Evans won her second event in two days by claiming the women's individual pursuit title to add to the lightning Team GB women's team pursuit victory on Day 2.
It was Evans' fifth European title, clocking 3:29.456 with a healthy three second lead over second-placed Martina Alzini.
And it was another Italian on the podium in third place, Silvia Valsecchi continuing Italy's strong showing in Plovdiv.
