Discover Yuna Kim Behind the Scenes

The YOG film crew had to pinch themselves last week when they got the amazing opportunity to meet none other than figure skating queen and newly announced YOG Ambassador Yuna Kim!

The South Korean athlete took time out of her hectic schedule to join the crew and the one-and-only Yoggl for an exclusive day of filming on the ice in California.

A true icon to millions around the world, Yuna graciously took to the ice in the same stunning electric blue, sequined outfit she wore for her record-breaking, gold medal-winning performance at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, to demonstrate some of her beautiful trademark moves.

Sadly, Yoggl forgot his glitzy figure skating costume, but that didn’t stop him donning his skates and challenging our new Ambassador to “switch sports”. With YOG DNA, no challenge is too big for Yuna, and she happily took a step into the unknown, picking up an ice hockey stick and a puck to go one-on-one with the loveable mascot.

Filming continued after lunch, when Yuna met some young skaters to share her tips on what it takes to be an Olympic champion and answer their questions. The day wrapped up with an interview with Yuna off the ice about her role as an Ambassador and world-class athlete, from the pressures of success to how she prepares for competition.
