UCI Cycling Road World Championships: Full list of men’s and women’s individual time trial winners

The individual time trial event at the UCI Road World Championships was held for the first time in 1994 for both men and women.

A race against the clock, known in road cycling as individual time trial (ITT).

The discipline is still relatively new at the UCI Road World Championships, with 30 rainbow jerseys awarded up to the 2023 edition.

In the men’s race, Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland and Tony Martin of Germany are the most successful riders, both having claimed four individual time trial titles.

France's Jeannie Longo is the most successful in the women’s time trial - also with four world titles.

Germany holds the record for the most medals claimed in the men’s time trial with 17, seven of which are gold.

The Netherlands top the women’s medal count with 17, including eight gold.
