UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid will host La Liga toppers FC Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa del Rey 2022-23 semi-final at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Thursday. The football match is scheduled to start at 12:30 AM in India.

Real Madrid and Barcelona booked their places for the Copa del Rey 2022-23 semi-finals by beating Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad, respectively.

Real Madrid, who are second on the La Liga 2022-23 points table, won their quarter-final 3-1 against Atletico Madrid, courtesy of extra-time goals from Karim Benzema and Vinícius Jr.

Barcelona, meanwhile, rode Ousmane Dembele’s goal in the second half to beat Real Sociedad 1-0.

It will be the fourth Barcelona vs Real Madrid meeting this year. Barcelona won all three matches so far in 2023.

In the Super Cup 2022-23 final in January, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-1. Then in La Liga El Clasico last month, Barca won 2-1.

FCB won the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final 1-0, also played last month.

The other semi-final line-up at the Copa del Rey 2022-23 features Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao. Osasuna leads the aggregate 1-0.
