India’s challenge In the men’s singles will be led by world No. 36 Priyanshu Rajawat and world No. 41 Kiran George.
Priyanshu Rajawat was a member of the Indian team that won a historic Thomas Cup title two years ago. He also won the Orleans Masters BWF 300 event last year.
Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly, ranked 26th in the women’s doubles, reached the semi-finals of the Singapore Open BWF Super 750 event in June but are yet to win a title this year.
Commonwealth Games medallists N Sikki Reddy and B Sumeeth Reddy will lead India’s challenge in the mixed doubles.
World No. 39 Aakarshi Kashyap is the top-ranked Indian woman to compete in China. Malvika Bansod, 41st in the badminton rankings, and world No. 72 Samiya Imad Farooqui are also competing in the women’s singles.
The China Open 2024 badminton tournament will conclude on Sunday.
