Beth Shriever dominates opening rounds at 2023 UCI BMX Racing World Cup Sakarya: Results and standings

Olympic champion Bethany Shriever and Romain Mahieu are currently leading the UCI BMX Racing World Cup standings after the thrilling opening two rounds of the series held in Sakarya, Türkiye, over the weekend (3-4 June).

In the Women's Elite category, Shriever showcased her dominance by securing two wins in two days. Joining her on the podium for both races was Rio 2016 medallist Alise Willoughby from the USA, who claimed third and second places respectively.

After taking a third-place finish in Round 1, Jauris Daudet denied his fellow Frenchman Mahieu back-to-back victories by clinching the top spot on the Men's Elite podium on Sunday.

The 2023 BMX Racing World Cup will resume on 24-25 June in Papendal, the Netherlands.
