B-Girl Logistx - USA
On her performance today:
“I feel proud of myself. I wish I freestyled more in that last round, but I gassed out a little bit. I’m proud of my second round, and I’m just so excited for Paris.”
On what being in Paris would mean to her:
“To have a spot in Paris means another level of reaching a wider audience to share the message that I want to share.
“I like the quote, ‘Play the game to change the game’. I don’t believe in this s****.* I feel like this s*** can make people give up on life. Because the games of life that humans create, in my opinion, like competitions, are just illusions. We’re all made different. We’re born with different genetics, skin colour, different styles, cultures, different interests. There’s no point in competing because there is no such thing as better or worse. But I know it’s just a game. I treat it as such. However far I make it, whatever audience I reach, is just more of a microphone for me to share what I believe in.”
On what she hopes breaking brings to the Olympic Games:
“These are just games. There’s so much s*** going on in the world. We’re doing this battle while wars are going on in the other side of the world. Why has our world come to a point where we’ve allowed ourselves to forget about the things that we can actually help, and actually save kids’ lives? There’s no such thing as perfect, and God created this life and world the way it’s supposed to be. I just trust God every step of the way.”
