The Australian Rowing Championships 2024 began at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) on March 18 and ran till March 24.

Australian Rowing Championships or the ARC is Australia’s biggest domestic annual regatta, which crowns the country’s national rowing champions and usually facilitates selection of the national rowing team for international meets like the World Championships and Olympics.

However, national selection will not be on the line at the 2024 Australian Rowing Championships as the Australian Rowing Team (ART) for the 2024 international campaign was picked earlier this month after trials held at SIRC in Penrith.

National crowns and bragging rights, however, were up for grabs at the 2024 ARC. Around 2,100 rowers from across the country, including Olympians and members of the 2024 ART, competed at this year's Australian Rowing Championships.

The National Open Regatta, where rowers race in their local club colours, and the Interstate Regatta, where rowers represent their respective states, are the highlight senior events of the Australian Rowing Championships. Age group, para, school and university championships are also held.

Winners of eight Interstate regatta events get the following trophies:

  • The King's Cup - interstate men's eight
  • The President's Cup - interstate men's single scull
  • The Queen Elizabeth II Cup - interstate women's eight
  • The Penrith Cup - interstate men's lightweight coxless four
  • The Nell Slatter Trophy - interstate women's single scull
  • The Victoria Cup - interstate women's lightweight coxless quad scull
  • The Noel Wilkinson Trophy - interstate men's youth eight
  • The Bicentennial Cup - interstate women's youth eight

The overall intestate regatta winner receives the Zurich Cup.
