The best collegiate track and field athletes are set to converge on Boston, Massachusetts, for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend (7-9 March).

The event features 16 athletes in each of the individual and combined events, as well as the top 12 teams in the relays.

Arkansas are the reigning champions in both the men's and women's team events.

Event start lists will be posted by the NCAA on Wednesday (6 March), though initial entries include:

  • Florida distance star Parker Valby (300m & 5000m);
  • Texas Tech sprinter Terrence Jones (60m, 200m);
  • Alia Armstrong of LSU (60m hurdles);
  • Tarsis Orogot of Alabama (200m);
  • Texas jumper Ackelia Smith (long jump);
  • Stanford's Ky Robinson (3000m & 5000m);
  • Shaun Maswanganyi, Houston (60m, 200m);
  • Arkansas' Rosey Effiong (200m, 400m);
  • Michaela Rose, LSU (800m) and
  • Leo Neugebauer of Texas (heptathlon).

Also set to compete is Christopher Morales Williams of Georgia, the 19-year-old Canadian who set a new world record in the 400m indoors (44.49) in late February.

Germany's Neugebauer, the reigning outdoor champion in the heptathlon, has the top qualifying score. Jones, who competes internationally for the Bahamas, has the fastest 60m (6.49) and 200m (20.28) times so far this season, too.
