Forward Mandeep Singh, with 12 goals, has been India’s top scorer at the Asian Games 2023 followed by Harmanpreet Singh with 11 strikes. Japan’s Ryosei Kato leads the scoring charts for his team with seven goals.

India, third in the FIH hockey rankings, is a three-time Asian Games champion while Japan, the current world No. 15, clinched their maiden title at the continental meet at Jakarta 2018.
