Indian golfer Pranavi Urs finished third at the Andalucia Open 2024 golf tournament in Malaga, Spain on Sunday and matched her best-ever finish on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
The Indian golfer carded a 14-under 274 (66-69-71-68) to finish four shots off Spain’s Carlota Ciganda, who won the title. Manon De Roey of Belgium carded a 17-under to finish second.
This was Urs’ fifth top-10 finish on the LET. Her previous best finish was T3 at the 2024 Dormy Open Helsingborg in May.
Meanwhile, Olympian Aditi Ashok, who won the Andalucia Open last year, finished only T16 with a seven-under 281.
Among the other Indians in action, Diksha Dagar finished T42nd with one-under 287 while Tvesa Malik ended the tournament in 70th position with a score of eight over.
Starting the final day of the golf tournament at T4, the 21-year-old Pranavi Urs, currently the best-placed Indian in the LET Order of Merit at 17th, finished on a high.
She carded five birdies and a single bogey in the second hole to finish on four-under in the final round and moved up a place in the leaderboard.
The 34-year-old Ciganda, playing on home soil, took the lead after the second round and held on to secure her eighth LET title.
The Spaniard, however, narrowly held out against Manon De Roey’s charge on the final day as the Belgian managed to cut down Ciganda’s four-shot lead post the third round to just one.
