ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024: All match results, scores, standings and points table

Some of the best upcoming cricket talents were on show at the ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, which took place in Al Amarat, Oman from October 18 to 27. The tournament ended with Afghanistan A beating Sri Lanka A by seven wickets in the final to clinch their maiden ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup crown.

The tournament featured 'A' squads from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan while UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong China fielded their regular sides.

The eight teams were divided into two groups of four teams each and played each other in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group advanced to the semi-finals.

India A were placed in Group B alongside Pakistan A, Oman, and UAE. India A and Pakistan A progressed to the semi-finals but both lost.

Group A included Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, and Hong Kong China. Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A moved into the last four, where they beat Pakistan Shaheens and India A, respectively to make the final.

All matches were played at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Al Amarat.

Defending champions Pakistan A, known as the Pakistan Shaheens, faced India A in a highly anticipated rematch of the 2023 final in Group B. India won the match by seven runs.

Though this is the sixth edition of the Asian cricket showpiece, it was the first ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup played in the T20 format. All five previous editions followed the 50-over format.

India won the inaugural edition in 2013 while Sri Lanka won the two subsequent editions in 2017 and 2018. Pakistan Shaheens have emerged victorious in 2019 and 2023.

Afghanistan A's Sediqullah Atal was adjudged the Player of the Series for the ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024.
