Both the men's and women's teams from USA and China qualified for the next Olympic Games. Serbia got the ticket as the top-ranked men's team, while hosts France are assured representation in the women's tournament.

The first six teams have obtained quotas to the 3x3 basketball competition at Paris 2024 based on the FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking.

The top three teams from each gender as of the cut-off date on November 1, 2023 secured their spots at the next Olympics where the discipline will be making its second appearance.

Serbia, USA and China qualified for the men’s competition, awhile China, USA and France were the top-ranked women’s teams.

USA and China’s women’s teams have already shared the podium at Tokyo 2020, with gold and bronze, respectively. The Serbian team picked up a bronze in the men’s competition.

Another 10 tickets, five per gender, are still up for grabs in the 3x3 basketball competition at the Olympic Games. They will be decided at three Olympic Qualifying Tournaments set to take place in the first half of 2024.

The teams that will participate in the qualifying tournaments will be announced in December, together with the match venues.
