Aryna Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini and Emma Navarro among winners at 2024 WTA Awards

The first accolades of the end-of-season women's tennis awards have been dished out - find out the full list of winners at the 2024 WTA Awards.

Aryna Sabalenka was crowned Player of the Year as all the winners of the 2024 WTA Awards were announced on Monday, 9 December.

The tennis world number one picked up the top accolade as voted for by the international media, having won the Australian Open and US Open in an outstanding 2024 season on tour.

Sabalenka finished the year as the top-ranked female player for the first time in her career, in a year where she also claimed two WTA 1000 titles.

Olympic women’s doubles champions Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani capped off their stunning year with the award for Doubles Team of the Year.

The duo won Italy’s first Olympic tennis gold at Paris 2024, triumphed in two WTA 1000 events and helped Italy to their fifth Billie Jean King Cup triumph in Málaga, Spain.

Emma Navarro was named the Most Improved Player of the Year, rising from a 2023 year-end ranking of 38th to finish this year inside the top 10.

The world number eight from New York triumphed in the WTA 250 event in Hobart, Australia for her maiden career title, also reaching the quarter-finals of Wimbledon and the US Open semi-finals on home soil.

In the other awards handed out at the beginning of the WTA’s awards week, Lulu Sun of New Zealand was awarded the Newcomer of the Year for her underdog run to the final eight at Wimbledon.

The Comeback Player of the Year award was bestowed upon Paula Badosa, the Spaniard showing a glimpse of her former self pre-injury to make the US Open quarter-finals and win the ATP 500 event in Washington, USA.
