The 2024 Canadian Figure Skating Championships took place in Calgary, Alberta, at WinSport Arena.

In women's singles, 17-year-old Kaiya Ruiter upset pre-event favourite Madeline Schizas for the title.

There was no such upset in ice dance, with Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier claiming a 10th national medal and third title. They'll now eye a third podium at the World Championships in March in Montreal.

Pairs favourites Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps also won, while 18-year-old Wesley Chiu captured his first national title.
