10-year-old skateboarder Sky Brown crowned junior champion of Dancing With The Stars

Is there anything Sky Brown can't do?

The 10-year-old is an accomplished surfer, social media star and has already been a professional skateboarder for several years with ambitions of representing Japan at Tokyo 2020.

However on Sunday night boardslides made way for ballroom as she was crowned the first-ever champion of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors alongside partner J.T. Church.

That's right. Pro skateboarder, prospective Olympian and now champion dancer.

Brown, who is one of the youngest girls to medal at a pro skateboarding event ever, fell to her knees after being announced as the winner.

“I just want to say to everyone, you’re all winners and I love you all and am going to miss you so much,” she told the audience immediately after being crowned champ.

The winning pair were mentored by Alan Bersten throughout the show.

Dancing Queen

Brown and Church were favourites to win the Mirror Ball trophy from the get-go after scoring 22 out of 30 in week one of the televised dancing competition.

The dream then turned into a reality as the pair performed a near faultless salsa and freestyle dance in Sunday's Christmas-themed final.

PyeongChang 2018 figure skating bronze medallist, ex-Dancing With the Stars champ and now show judge Adam Rippon awarded the duo incredible scores alongside fellow judges Mandy Moore and Val Chmerkovskiy.

"You really epitomize what this show is about," Rippon said.

"Stepping out of your comfort zone, being brave... you are a hero to a lot of little girls."

The judges scores were then combined with an equally impressive audience vote to seal the victory.

Olympic ambition

With her new dancing accolade locked away, Brown can now switch her focus back to qualifying for the Olympics.

The Miyazaki-born shredder is still too young to compete at the X Games, but has made public her desire to compete on home turf at Tokyo 2020.

“I would like to go to the Olympics while I’m young — I don’t really wanna be 16 or something going to the Olympics [for the first time]. I wanna be young and show every girl that you can do it, just go for it — even though you’re little,” she told Purpose2play.

With both surfing and skateboarding due to make their Olympic debuts in Tokyo, Brown could potentially compete in either, but has seen more success as a skateboarder thus far.
