Yekta Jamali GALEH

Yekta remains a relative newcomer to weightlifting. She competed at national junior levels and won medals at the World Junior Championships. Despite her early success, Yekta was forced to flee to Germany in May 2022 . Thanks to becoming a Refugee Athlete Scholarship holder, she was able to continue training and competing in her new host country.

Yekta currently competes in the women's 81kg category. She hopes to replicate her youth-level successes at the senior level and is working hard to give her best in Paris 2024.
