Biography

Wolfgang KLOTZ

Wolfgang Klotz was an East German gymnast who won two Olympic team bronze medals, in 1972 at München, and 1976 at Montréal. Individually he finished 17th and 25th, respectively, and failed to reach the apparatus finals on both occasions. He won another bronze medal at the 1974 Worlds at Varna. In 1975, he won his only East German national title, on the pommelled horse. After his active career, Klotz started coaching in Potsdam until re-unification, after which, he was employed in the public administration office of the Potsdam city administration.
