Biography

In Los Angeles in 1932, Takashi Yokoyama narrowly missed a medal in the 400 metre freestyle, placing fourth in the final but he won a gold medal in the 4 x 200 freestyle relay in world record time. Yokoyama held a business degree from Waseda University. He died of a heart attack in 1945, per his sister-in-law.
