Like his older brother Claud, Raymond Wittindale was one of the Moseley Wanderers half-backs at the 1900 Olympics; both were teenagers at the time with Raymond just 17 years of age. Also like Claud, and another brother Karl, he played for Aston Old Edwardians. All members of the Whittindale family were keen on amateur dramatics in their home-town of Kenilworth where their father James was a local estate agent and auctioneer. Instead of going into the family business, Raymond studied law, but sadly, like Claud, he died at a young age, 31.
