Radoš Čubrić rode for Yugoslavia at the 1972 Olympics in both the road race and team time trial, but prior to that time, he had raced eight times at the Peace Race (1961-62, 1964-67, 1970, 1972), although with little distinction, his best finish being 23rd in 1967. Čubrić also competed at the 1967 World Championships in the team time trial, helping Yugoslavia to 16th place. He also rode in the Tour of Austria in 1967, but did not finish. Both of Čubrić’s sons, Radiša and Rajko, became cyclists and competed at the Olympics, Radiša in 1992 as an Independent Olympic Participant and Rajko in 1988 for Yugoslavia.
