Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is a standout figure in French sport, boasting multiple world titles in road cycling, mountain biking, and cyclo-cross.

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot's Journey to Cycling Stardom

Ferrand-Prévot was born on 10 February 1992 in Reims, France. Cycling is central to her family's life with her father owning a bicycle shop and her mother running a cycling school. It was at this school where Pauline and her younger sister, Axelle, started their cycling journey.

At just 12 years of age, she won the French junior championship before dominating at various age levels. After winning national and continental titles, she turned professional while still a teenager in 2011.

Since turning pro, Ferrand-Prévot has excelled across several cycling disciplines. She won the road race at the 2014 Road World Championships, and was crowned cyclo-cross world champion the following year. In 2015, she also secured the first of four mountain bike cross-country Olympic world titles with subsequent triumphs in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
